Not much happening here today

It's a grey rainy day, so there isn't a lot going on. I will probably vacuum the floors after Charlotte goes to sleep, and then sit down and have a cuppa with God. Maybe nap a bit, maybe not. I'm feeling a bit out of sorts today, as I had a bit of trouble falling asleep last night. More related to my Dad and waiting for a phone call than pregnancy. I also woke up early this morning (6:00 AM), and couldn't get back to sleep. So I got up and made tea for us, checked my email, did a Bible study, made Charlotte's breakfast, and just had some quiet time to myself. It was nice to just be alone with my thoughts for a bit. Now I'm back to downstairs to see what my unusually quiet child is exploring.

What a relief!

I have a hard time keeping secrets. Not other people's secrets, but my own. So when I have a secret, I really want to broadcast it to the world. The last 5 days have been incredibly difficult for me, but finally I can tell everyone.   I am indeed, as my sister eloquently put it, with child. Well, given the title of my blog I'm usually with child, but specifically, my uterus is with child again.   It's truly amazing how even just the knowledge that you are pregnant can change your perceptions. Monday, I didn't know. It didn't even cross my mind. Tuesday morning, I didn't know. Tuesday afternoon, I know. And all of a sudden, I'm exhausted and nauseated. Physically, I am no different, really from Monday to today. But mentally, emotionally? My world has been officially rocked!   XOXO, Sarah

Please understand

I know I haven't been very communicative lately, and trust me - there's a really REALLY good reason. I'll be able to spill the beans in a few days' time, but until then, it's really hard for me to write anything without giving anything away. What do you think you're doing???

Yesterday evening, as I was preparing dinner, I noticed that Charlie was far too quiet. So I called out to her (she didn't answer, surprise surprise). Then I noticed that the pantry door was almost-but-not-quite closed, and there was a mysterious white powdery substance on the floor outside the door. Oh goody goody gumdrops, she's got into the flour again. I open the door, and she is sitting in a pile of 1 kilo of flour, sifting it through her little fingers, making trails in it, and just having a fantastic time. When I asked her what she was doing, what I meant was why are you doing it. She didn't get the memo though, because she answered me thus: "I'm playing in the snow." I was speechless with laughter, and rather than punishing her, I took a photo and blogged about it. Because it somehow wasn't a big deal any more, and instead was hilarious! I love my kids, that's for certain. Sarah
